Coloring Modern Day Dino Eggs

Home Support: Read A Fun Story by Anna Doloman!

Yes it is true! Chickens and other birds are the remaining ancestors of the ancient dinosaurs. In particular the chicken is the closest match to ancient theropods such as velociraptor. Scientist are not sure about what color ancient dinosaur eggs were but after looking at modern day bird eggs in the picture below you can let your imagination run wild as you color your dino eggs. Use any easter egg dye kit sold in stores.

Remember, you are coloring modern day dinosaur eggs. Coloring eggs outside in the grass is a good way to keep stains out of the kitchen. After your done build some dinosaur nests and hide them around the yard for an egg hunt!

Enjoy the short movie by National Geographic below.
