In this lab, your students will observe their hatchlings underneath the microscope. Students will use Pippi Pipette to transfer their newborn shrimp hatchlings into a petri dish for microscope viewing. Your students will fill out a birth certificate for their baby class pet. On the birth certificate, your students will describe the body structures of the baby shrimp and characterize their behaviors. After students have a chance to put the finishing touches on their research observations and writing, students have an opportunity to share their research and observations with the class.
